The Twenty Dollar Peach
I was eating a peach today over my kitchen sink and noticed a brochure sent to me by World Vision International informing me of the widespread starvation taking place in Sudan right now. There was a picture of a little boy looking longingly towards me and my peach. I had to turn the brochure over in order to continue.
I like to think that I'm not choosing ignorance, apathy, or blindness in this scenario -if one can choose such things-but you never can tell really.
I think I'll send them $20.

Too bad we can't invite him over and make him our custom breaded chicken mayo bacon on eggo waffle sandwhich. . . maybe watch some Rocky?
We've been doin the world vision thing for a year or two now - its pretty cool - I wish we got to have more communication with the family we are supporting. But - guess that's the way they have to keep things to keep everyone safe.
I think we're supposed to help the hungry B. Not poisen them. It was simply the grace of God that kept us from our otherwise eminent demise by the funk that was our college bachelor driven menu.
Possibly. . . but it also could have been the majesty of the song we sang while we prepared the food.
That's right. . . a magical song for singin to good eats, and good treats.
it's been over 2 months.
